Note - a similar procedure outlined on this page to set up a reload schedule is also available for Qlik Sense.

Setting Up a Reload

With QVSource configured to run continuously on a server (as descibed here), you can set up your QVSource powered QlikView applications to reload new data at regular intervals.

  • Ensure that the QlikView application is not set to 'read only'.
  • Open the QlikView Enterprise Management Console
  • Go to the 'Documents' tab and find the QlikView application

  • On the right panel, click on the 'Reload' panel
  • Ensure that reload is enable and then configure the frequency of the reload.
    • Because your QlikView application's script contains calls to the API, via QVSource, the reload to go and fetch the latest data
  • Click 'Apply'
  • You will now see a clock icon over the application

Reload Log

You can check the reload logs for your application by going to the QlikView Enterprise Management Console

  • With your application's reload set, you should see it listed under the Status > Tasks list
  • To see the log, click on 'Show Task Details' on the far right.

  • The task details pane gives a little information about the reload status
  • Click on the 'Log' tab
  • From the drop down, select the reload of interest
  • You will now see a detailed log of the reload, and if your reload failed, will give you some indication to the problem
