QVSource: The QlikView & Qlik Sense API Connector (Docs)

NOTE - You will need version 1.0.6.4 or later of the General JSON/XML/SOAP Web API Connector in order to use this.

We do not currently have a dedicated Connector to RavenDB, however we have successfully shown it is possible to access the RavenDB HTTP API from QlikView or Qlik Sense using our General JSON/XML/SOAP Web API Connector as outlined below.

Note that at time of writing, the documentation for the HTTP API has not been added for version 3.0 of RavenDB but it is available for version 2.5.

Example

For example, if you have a database named test and a collection named Orders:

Then the following request: http://localhost:8080/databases/test/indexes/dynamic/Orders

Should return JSON data:

You can therefore use the above URL in the General JSON/XML/SOAP Web API Connector in conjunction with either JsonToXmlRaw table:

Or the JsonToTable table (specifying an appropriate XPATH):

Troubleshooting

In general, if you are having trouble working out how to make the correct API requests to RavenDB, you might first consider consulting and asking the question on the support forum.

Only 25 results returned

If you find you are only getting 25 (or some other limited number back), this might be because the RavenDB version you are using is limiting this. You will probably need to either specify an additional parameter in your request to get more/all results or possibly page through the results.

For example, this was solved by one user by adding a pageSize parameter to the request, e.g.:
http://localhost:8080/databases/dbname/indexes/raven/DocumentsByEntityName?pageSize=1024

Unfortunately as we are not experts in RavenDB we cannot really support specific questions but we would suggest asking questions on their support forum.

(QVSource works with Qlik Sense as well as QlikView - See this page for notes.)
