QVSource: The QlikView & Qlik Sense API Connector (Docs)

In version 1.1 of the Sentiment Analysis & Text Analytics Connector For QlikView & Qlik Sense (version 1.6.5.3 and later of QVSource), we had to make a breaking change to the connector to allow it to be ported more easily to the new Web Edition of QVSource.

You should only need to make minor adjustments to your load scripts to account for this as it only changes the way the request URL looks (not the schema of any of the tables).

In brief we have:
  • Removed the api parameter.
  • Moved this information to a postfix value on the table name.
  • Instead of selecting the API engine you wish to use as a table input parameter as before:

It is now done using the table category drop down:

So for example, if before a request to QVSource looked like this in a version of QVSource earlier than 1.6.5.3:
http://localhost:5555/QVSource/TextAnalyserV2/?table=Sentiment&api={API_NAME_HERE}&text=XXXXXXX&....

In QVSource 1.6.5.3 and later (which contains version 1.1 or later of the Sentiment Analysis & Text Analytics Connector, it would look like this:
http://localhost:5555/QVSource/TextAnalyserV2/?table=Sentiment_{API_NAME_HERE}&text=XXXXXXX&....

As a concrete example, you might have a request which uses the Repustate API which looks like this:

TextAnalyserV2_Sentiment:
LOAD
	status as Sentiment_status,
	score as Sentiment_score,
	language as Sentiment_language,
	status_info as Sentiment_status_info
FROM
[http://localhost:5555/QVSource/TextAnalyserV2/?table=Sentiment&api=Repustate&text=$(urlEncodedText)&Repustate_Language=en&appId=]
(qvx);

This would become:

TextAnalyserV2_Sentiment:
LOAD
	status as Sentiment_status,
	score as Sentiment_score,
	language as Sentiment_language,
	status_info as Sentiment_status_info
FROM
[http://localhost:5555/QVSource/TextAnalyserV2/?table=Sentiment_Repustate&text=$(urlEncodedText)&Repustate_Language=en&appId=]
(qvx);

If you have any problems upgrading your script, please contact our support.
